Kipp has been working in the creative arts for over 20 years. After majoring in television, radio, and film at Temple University in Philadelphia, Kipp moved to Dallas.
Kipp’s artistic interests and creative talents have always extended beyond the beauty industry. For years, his unique abstract paintings, with striking colors and a sophisticated sense of balance and proportion, have been prized by private collectors and personal friends lucky enough to secure a commission or gift. Over the past year, he has developed a technique resulting in the complex textures and multi-dimensional color combinations represented in his current collection entitled “Stained Glass.” Kipp describes this series as “vivid interactions of color, texture, and form.” Up to 30 coats of varnish are applied to each painting, evoking a sense of movement and fluidity. Coupled with smooth or heavily textured paint that is blended or mottled, Kipp’s technique makes an impact with “radiant impressions that make the canvas come alive.”
